Product Description

A great way to hit the water, the 10'6" Classic Paddleboard Package from California Board Company comes with everything you need to get the board to the water and on the water. The Classic Paddleboard from California Board Company is made with a heat-laminated high-density 100% waterproof EPS core. 3 multi-layered, molded-in laminated wood stringers are coated with a waterproof resin. The high-density polyethylene slick bottom is tough and offers great performance on the water. Also features a tri-fin design with removable 9" fiberglass/nylon fin and two 4" side-kick fins, a molded-in nylon leash plug, surf leash, neoprene padded ankle strap, and floating paddle. Molded nylon SUP handle with finger grooves allows easy carrying. The Classic Paddleboard measures 10'6" x 31" x 5.5". Weighs 23 lbs. For riders up to 300 lbs.

The 10'6" Classic Stand-Up Paddleboard Pacakge includes a floating SUP Paddle that adjusts from 63" to 83". Made of fiberglass reinforced nylon, this SUP Paddle offers the exclusive Blade Shield to make sure your board keeps looking great. Blade Shield is a rubber trim that's molded around the edge of the blade to protect the board and paddler from abrasions and nicks. This set also comes with the Roof Shield instant padded roof racks that make it easy to strap your board to almost any vehicle.

SUP Construction
Advances in technology and materials have greatly improved the construction of stand-up paddleboards. The methods and materials used will determine the weight of the SUP as well as its durability.

EPS Foam Core – Most SUPs start with a simple expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam core. EPS is very lightweight, but because there is air within the foam cells, water can seep in and deteriorate the core. Better than EPS is a fused-cell EPS core which is watertight and more durable. The Classic features an EPS foam core construction. Soft boards like the Classic are made with an EPS foam core, then stiffened with wood stringers. The board is then sealed to prevent water entry and finished with bumpers and pads. Soft SUPs are great for use in shallow water, and they're a little more forgiving when the rider takes a spill.

Hull Type
The body or hull of a stand-up paddleboard determines how it performs in the water. There are two types of SUP hulls – planing and displacement.

Planing Hull – The planing hull is found on all-around boards and is best for the paddler who wants just one board that can do it all. A planing hull is flat like a surfboard. It's designed to ride on top of the water and performs great in the ocean as well as flat water. A planing hull tends to be more stable, so it's best for beginners as well as recreational and surf paddling. The Classic features a planing hull for stability.
